Sheinelle Jones Mourns the Loss of Husband Uche Ojeh

Sheinelle Jones, co-host of NBC’s “Today,” is mourning the death of her husband of 17 years, Uche Ojeh, who passed away at age 45 after battling glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. The news was shared on the May 23 broadcast of “Today.”

On Instagram, Jones thanked supporters, writing, “Thank you for all of your love and support. ❤️.”

The “Today” team paid tribute with a touching video montage. Savannah Guthrie called Ojeh “an incredible person,” while Craig Melvin remembered him as “the dad” who never missed a school event.

Jones and Ojeh’s love story began in the late 1990s at Northwestern University. After eight years of dating, they married in 2007 in Philadelphia and had three children: one in 2009 and twins in 2012.

Ojeh was a successful consultant known for his devotion to faith, family, friends, and his Nigerian heritage, which he proudly passed on to his children. He also loved football and singing in his church choir.
