Princess Alexandra Of Luxembourg Announces Second Pregnancy, Baby Due This Fall

Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg, 34, and her husband Nicolas Bagory, who married in 2023, are expecting their second child this fall. The couple already has a daughter named Victorie. Alexandra is sixth in line for the throne, thanks to 2011 succession law changes allowing women to inherit.

Alexandra is a working royal and fluent in multiple languages. Her family is preparing for the upcoming abdication of her father, Grand Duke Henri, who will step down after 24 years. His son, Prince Guillaume, will officially become Grand Duke in October, continuing a smooth transition tradition in Luxembourg’s monarchy.

Luxembourg is ruled by a Grand Duke, not a king or queen. Recently, Queen Margrethe of Denmark also abdicated after 52 years, with her son Frederik succeeding her in 2024.
