Kelly Ripa Breaks Down in Tears on ‘Live’ After Mark Consuelos Reveals Devastating News

At a deeply emotional moment on live television, Kelly Ripa found himself unable to detain tears because her husband Mark Consuelos shared some heartbreaking news with viewers.

The couple, known for their lasting love and the warmth they bring to the screen, faced an incredibly personal and difficult situation and revealed a poignant chapter in their lives that touched anyone who witnessed it.

What developed during the episode left fans and colleagues of celebrities to feel the weight of the moment when Ripa and Consuelos opened up about painful loss.

Kelly Ripa was visibly emotional and shared some deep sad news with her audience during the live episode of Live with Kelly and Mark after her husband Mark Consuelos.

A couple who first met in 1995 on a set of all my children – where Ripa depicted Hayley Vaughan – a node node a year later in May 1996. Together they have three children: Michael, 27, Lola, 23 and Joaquin, 21.

On Wednesday 5 February Consuelos revealed that the last 24 hours were particularly difficult for their family. He shared a heartbreaking message that their beloved 17 -year -old dog, Chewie, died.

“We had to say goodbye to Chewie,” he told the audience, remarking that the health of the pet aging was constantly decreasing. “Chewie stopped eating for several days and has been eating less and less in the last few weeks. She was very dehydrated and showed neurological symptoms,” he explained according to Entertainment Weekly.

Ripa, overcome by sorrow, mostly remained quiet when Consuelos described how deep Chewie touched their lives. But when he remembered the adoption of puppies and watched as he grew up next to his children, Ripa could not hold tears.

Despite her breakdown, Ripa acknowledged how happy they were. Openly expressed the blame for sadness and said, “There are so many bigger problems in the world.” Yet she found moments of light in the middle of grief, even smiling as she shared her friends, neighbors and even a postal carrier to say goodbye to Chewie before her passage.

When emotions ran high in the studio, Consuelos closed the segment on a soothing note. He turned to his wife and crew and offered assurance: “We will walk together.”
