President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth made a big announcement on Friday about a major breakthrough with the U.S. military.

While speaking from the Oval Office, Trump announced the U.S. military’s next high-tech fighter jet.

Trump not only announces that Boeing has won the contract for “the world’s first six generation fighter jet,” the F-47, he says it’s “been flying for five years.”

The president called the F-47 “a good size plane,” adding that “perhaps” some allies will be able to purchase them. Trump said this plane “does not fly by itself” and the F-47 flies with drones “as many as we want.”

“The F-47 will be the most advanced, most capable, most lethal aircraft ever built. An experimental version of the plane has secretly been flying for almost 5 years and we’re confident that it massively overpowers the capabilities of any other nation,” Trump declared.

“This is a big day for our warfighters. This is a big day for our country, a big day in the world … America is going to have generations in the future of air dominance because of this sixth-generation fighter.Watch video below
