Ingredients:
• 6 medium firm apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
• 1½ cups plain dry breadcrumbs
• 1 cup packed light brown sugar
• ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
• 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions:

Peel, core, and slice the apples into ¼-inch slices.
Tip: Firm apples work best because they hold their shape during cooking and become tender without turning mushy.

Mix the melted butter with the breadcrumbs until evenly coated. In a separate bowl, stir together the brown sugar and cinnamon.
