John Travolta shares emotional new song recorded for late wife Kelly Preston

John Travolta’s late wife, Kelly Preston, passed away in 2020 aged 57 after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, the Grease actor has continued to honor her and regularly posts tributes to the love of his life. Now, Travolta has posted a new tribute, but this time with a song for her birthday.

John Travolta and Kelly Preston married in 1992. He had proposed at the Palace Hotel restaurant in Gstaad, Switzerland, the day before.

They welcomed three children: son Jett, daughter Ella Bleu, and a second son, Benjamin. Jett tragically passed away in 2009, aged 16. Kelly Preston was later diagnosed with breast cancer. In July 2020, she passed away, aged 57.

“On the morning of July 12, 2020, Kelly Preston, adored wife and mother, passed away following a two-year battle with breast cancer,” a family representative said at the time. “Choosing to keep her fight private, she had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her closest family and friends.”

The family representative added, “She was a bright, beautiful, and loving soul who cared deeply about others and who brought life to everything she touched. Her family asks for your understanding of their need for privacy at this time.”

John Travolta shared the devastating news on Instagram, thanking the ones in charge of her treatment.

“My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered.”

“I just wanted to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for supporting me in such an incredible way this year,” Travolta wrote.

Every year, John Travolta makes sure to honor his late wife on her birthday. This year was no different.

On Monday, October 13, which would have been Kelly’s 62nd birthday, Travolta shared not only a sweet message but also a song.

“I recorded this song for Kelly, and I want to share it with you all on her birthday. Happy birthday Kelly, we love you,” Travolta wrote in the caption to the Instagram Reel, signing with his name, alongside their children, Ella and Ben.

John Travolta sang: “I’m gonna love you like nobody’s loved you/come rain or come shine/high as a mountain and deep as a river/come rain or come shine. I guess when you met me/it was just, just one of those things.”

“But don’t you ever bet me because I’m gonna be true if you let me. You’re gonna love me like nobody’s loved me/come rain or come shine/happy together, unhappy together.”

“Sweet and beautiful, her smile it’s forever,” another added.
