Recent evidence shows that after President Donald Trump’s victory, a lot fewer people watched MSNBC host Rachel Maddow.
“The Rachel Maddow Show” has lost 43% of its viewers since Trump easily beat Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024. It now only gets an average of 1.4 million people.
Analysts found the drop by comparing how many people watched the show on average from January 1, 2024, to Election Day to how many people watched it since November 6, 2024.
Maddow cut “The Rachel Maddow Show” down to once a week in 2022 to “pursue other projects,” even though she was making a lot of money. She just signed a new deal that keeps her in an important role at MSNBC.
The network’s biggest star has lost even more viewers among people 25 to 54 years old. OAN reported that since the election, she has lost 56% of her following in this important age group, and now only gets an average of 103,000 viewers. This is a huge loss for her because advertisers value this age group so highly
