On my wedding day, everything felt just right. My nine-year-old nephew Leo stood beside me, proudly holding the ring box. Despite the visible scars from a past dog attack, he wore his tuxedo with confidence and dignity. To me, Leo represented more than just family—he embodied resilience and love.

But as Emily, my bride, began her walk down the aisle, her parents urgently called me over. In hushed but harsh tones, they insisted I remove Leo from the ceremony, claiming his appearance was “frightening the children” and would ruin the wedding photos.
