Rep. Nick Langworthy, a New York Republican, revealed that one of Governor Kathy Hochul’s top aids was indicted by the FBI on a raft of treason-related charges. Linda Sun, who served as Deputy Chief of Staff within the New York State Executive Chamber, allegedly worked at the behest of the Chinese government and was paid millions of dollars by the CCP.
For context, Democrat Kathy Hochul, the governor of New York, has been mired in controversy since she decided to clash with the Trump administration over her punitive congestion regulations and insane open border policy.
Linda Sun, the disgraced former civil servant, is a Chinese-American who worked in the New York State government for decades. She held several prominent roles, including deputy chief of staff to Governor Kathy Hochul and deputy chief diversity officer under former Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Such was shown on September 23, 2024, when the head of the New York Republican Party, Nick Langworthy, blasted the corrupt Democrat in a hearing. He said, “Just three weeks ago in my home state of New York, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Kathy Hochul was arrested on federal charges for acting as a secret agent of the Chinese government.”
Concluding his remarks, he gave a dire warning. Langworthy said, “I mean, this should scare the hell out of everyone on both sides of the aisle, that in a state where the budget is 220 plus billion dollars, you know, the financial capital of the world…This is not… a small and unsophisticated government, the fact that this was able to happen in New York, I just find staggering, and to make matters worse, this is not the first time New York State has been compromised by the CCP.”
Providing additional context, United States Attorney Breon Peace gave a statement to the Department of Justice (DOJ). He explainedhow“As alleged, while appearing to serve the people of New York as Deputy Chief of Staff within the New York State Executive Chamber, the defendant and her husband actually worked to further the interests of the Chinese government and the CCP.”
