“It’s going well, thank you,” Toby replied, returning her smile.

She handed him a cup of coffee. “I thought you might need a little pick-me-up. It’s been a long shift.”
Toby accepted it gratefully. “Thank you, Sarah. That’s really kind of you.”
“No problem at all. You do a great job here, and it’s appreciated,” she said before returning to her duties.

Weeks passed, and Toby found himself drawn to Sarah’s authenticity. She never sought attention for her good deeds and connected with everyone naturally. Her honesty and kindness were refreshing. For Toby, it was the first glimpse of a love that couldn’t be bought.

“I think I’ve found someone,” he admitted, excitement in his voice.
Chris leaned forward. “Really? Tell me more.”

Chris nodded. “That’s great, Toby. But how will you reveal your true identity?”
Toby paused. “I want to know her better first. I’ll stay as James for now, but when the time is right, I’ll tell her the truth.”
Chris smiled approvingly. “Just be sure she knows the real you before anything else.”
