Bullfighter Dies After Arena Accident

A 22-year-old bullfighter, Manuel Maria Trindade, died after being slammed into a wall by a 700kg bull during his debut at Campo Pequeno Bullring in Lisbon.

Trindade served as the “forcado,” tasked with provoking the bull for the “face catch” finale.

According to reports.

“Trindade’s provocation resulted in the 700kg (almost 1600lb) bull targeting him and charging him at full speed.”

A video shows him grabbing the bull’s horns before being hurled into the air.

Tragic Outcome

“The almost 7,000 people in attendance watched on in horror as the bull drove Trindade to the arena’s edge and slammed him into the wall,” causing catastrophic injuries.

He was rushed to hospital but died 24 hours later from cardiorespiratory arrest.

Bullfighting remains legal in Portugal, Spain, and some other countries, despite criticism from animal rights groups.
