It’s happening again. For the second time in a matter of weeks, a sudden earthquake has struck near New York City — and this one rattled windows, shook buildings, and sent thousands into a panic.
Early this morning, residents across the Bronx, Manhattan, and parts of Brooklyn reported intense shaking, loud booms, and trembling floors. “I thought it was an explosion,” said one witness. “Everything moved for a few seconds, then silence.”
