‘Prince of Darkness’ of heavy metal passed away from Parkinson’s disease, a degenerative neurological disorder that impairs brain function and general movement.

“Parkinson’s is a progressive disease. It’s not something you can stabilise. It affects different parts of the body and it’s affected his legs,” Sharon Osbourne, his wife of 43 years, said in an interview with The Sun in February. “But his voice is as good as it’s ever been.”

It appears that Sharon fulfilled her late husband’s “last wish” before he passed away.

What was Ozzy Osbourne’s final wish?
Ozzy had the opportunity to join Black Sabbath during their final live performance on July 5 at Villa Park in Aston. The band was founded in Birmingham.

The musician, who was born in Marston Green, Warwickshire, mentioned moving back to the UK in 2022 after being in Beverly Hills for 25 years with his three kids

“Everything’s f**king ridiculous [in America],” Ozzy told the Observer in 2022: “I’m fed up with people getting killed every day.”

“God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert. … it’s f**king crazy.”

Due to his health, Ozzy’s move to the UK had to be postponed; nonetheless, it was revealed that he passed away at home in Buckinghamshire, fulfilling his last desire to return.

Where will Ozzy Osbourne’s funeral be held?
On Wednesday, July 30, Ozzy’s body will be returned to Birmingham in a procession.

Beginning at 1pm, the metal legend’s family will travel down Broad Street in his hearse, stopping at the Black Sabbath bench and bridge.

A livestream of the portion of the funeral procession at the Black Sabbath bench will be available for anyone who is unable to come in person.
