Tragic Death of 2-Year-Old Arkansas Girl Shakes Local Community

Two-year-old Ava Ann Marie Tabor, a bright and joyful child from De Queen, Arkansas, was tragically killed on March 4, 2025. At the time of the incident, Ava was under the care of 19-year-old babysitter Wesley Davis in Lockesburg. Known for her radiant smile, love of music, and playful spirit, Ava brought happiness to everyone around her. Her sudden death has left her family and the entire community in shock and mourning.

According to police reports, Davis initially told authorities that Ava was found unresponsive. However, after further investigation and questioning, he confessed to physically assaulting the toddler. As a result, the charges against him were upgraded to first-degree murder. He is currently being held on a $1 million bond, and a strict no-contact order has been issued to prevent him from contacting Ava’s family or any potential witnesses.
