Tragedy in Brazil: Hot Air Balloon Crash Kills 8, Injures 13

On June 21, a peaceful hot air balloon ride turned into a deadly disaster in Praia Grande, southern Brazil. A fire broke out mid-flight on a balloon operated by Sobrevoar Serviços Turísticos, carrying 21 people. Eight were killed and 13 injured.

According to the pilot, who survived, the fire started inside the basket, and he attempted an emergency descent. As the balloon neared the ground, he urged passengers to jump. Thirteen people, including the pilot, managed to leap to safety.
