<\/p>\nPresident Donald Trump claims that the United States launched missiles at areas of Iran during the night.<\/p>\n
Since Trump\u2019s US military support Israel, Iran\u2019s neighbour in the Middle East, and Iran is currently engaged in a war with Israel, their engagement was inevitable given the conflict\u2019s lack of end in sight.<\/p>\n
Trump announced this major news to the world via Truth Social, writing: \u201cWe have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordo.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAll planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Iran\u2019should make peace immediately \u2013 otherwise they\u2019ll get attacked again,\u2019 the 79-year-old said in a later phone conversation (via The Mirror).<\/p>\n
\u2018Outrageous, terribly dangerous, lawless and illegal behaviour\u2019 is how Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi described this attack in a social media post.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe United States, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, has committed a grave violation of the UN Charter, international law and the NPT by attacking Iran\u2019s peaceful nuclear installations,\u201d he said on Twitter.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences. Each and every member of the UN must be alarmed over this extremely dangerous, lawless and criminal behavior. In accordance with the UN Charter and its provisions allowing a legitimate response in self-defense, Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interest, and people.\u201d<\/p>\n
The missile strike, which involved planes dropping specialist \u201cbunker busters\u201d and submarines launching 30 Tomahawk bombs, was also recognised by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.<\/p>\n
Starmer emphasised in a statement the \u201csevere threat to international security\u201d posed by an atomic base buried 60 meters into a mountainous area in Fordo.<\/p>\n
\u201cIran\u2019s nuclear programme is a grave threat to international security,\u201d the PM said this morning (June 22).<\/p>\n
\u201cIran can never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon and the US has taken action to alleviate that threat. The situation in the Middle East remains volatile and stability in the region is a priority.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe call on Iran to return to the negotiating table and reach a diplomatic solution to end this crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n
Using X, Reform UK leader Nigel Farage also supported Trump\u2019s decision to explode, saying, \u201cIran must not be allowed to have nuclear weapons, the future of Israel depends on it.\u201d<\/p>\n
