Instead of finding something undesirable, the brown-haired spaniel searched the Pentwyn neighbourhood of Cardiff and returned with 97g of cannabis and \u00a32,200 in cash.<\/p>\n
The green plastic packets of cannabis and the big amount of money were both kept in a satchel bag that was concealed by the underbrush. The finding was made the same week that five large bags of Class A narcotics were found in Pentwyn\u2019s underbrush.<\/p>\n
South Wales Police wrote on social media: \u201cOk, ok, it was us who let the dogs out\u2026 on this occasion PD Scout.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFollowing information received around drug dealing in the #Pentwyn area, proactive patrols have been \u2013 and will continue to be \u2013 carried out around hot spot locations.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cDuring a recent search, PD Scout alerted to a satchel bag concealed in undergrowth \u2013 this bag containing over \u00a32,200 in cash and 97g of cannabis.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cEarlier in the week, five deal-size bags of believed Class A drugs were also recovered after being hidden amongst undergrowth. All have now been taken off the streets of Pentwyn.\u201d<\/p>\n

Over 300 dog owners who were impressed flooded the Facebook post\u2019s comments section.<\/p>\n
One wrote: \u201cMy spaniels have never found anything on a walk except for fox poo and bread! Well done Scout.\u201d<\/p>\n
Someone else commented, \u201cWhy do I never find 2k in a bush?\u201d, and another joked, \u201cMoney does grow on trees! My mam lied to me!!\u201d<\/p>\n
