April 17, 2025, Mexico City After 12-year-old Sof\u00eda Delgado vanished 48 hours ago, a family and the entire community are in a state of anguish and uncertainty. Last Monday, the minor was last seen leaving her high school in the Benito Ju\u00e1rez borough\u2019s Del Valle neighborhood.<\/p>\n
Since then, she has not been contacted, and authorities, her parents, friends, and family are conducting a thorough search that has not yet produced any conclusive findings.<\/p>\n
Sof\u00eda left school at 2:30 p.m., as she always did, and went home, which is a few blocks away, according to her mother, Mar\u00eda Teresa Ruiz. But she never showed up. We speculated that she might have been spending time with a friend, but hours went by and we were left in the dark. Since then, she has not used her cell phone. She doesn\u2019t return calls, messages, or anything else. Through tears, her mother remarked, \u201cIt feels like the earth has engulfed her.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Amber Alert has already been activated and a file containing the minor\u2019s details has been made public by the Mexico City Attorney General\u2019s Office:<\/p>\n
