Social media users are having a field day after Donald Trump claimed his son Barron has an \u201cunbelievable aptitude for technology\u201d \u2013 all because he managed to turn on a laptop.<\/p>\n

The 78-year-old president recently did an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, where he touched on everything from his sleep routine to high-stakes negotiations with China.<\/p>\n
During the wide-ranging conversation, Trump took a moment to praise his children, saying: \u201cIf you look at my kids, all of my kids, they\u2019ve been very good, they\u2019ve been very smart.\u201d He noted that they have each attended prestigious schools and worked hard, adding: \u201cThey love our country and they\u2019re proud of their father.\u201d<\/p>\n
The president then proudly described his youngest son, who turned 19 on Thursday (March 20), as having \u201can unbelievable aptitude in technology,\u201d before recounting an anecdote that left viewers scratching their heads.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe can look at a computer\u2026 I turn off his laptop, I s aid, \u2018Oh good,\u2019 and I go back about five minutes later, he\u2019s got his laptop, I say, \u2018How do you do that?\u2019 He\u2019s got an unbelievable aptitude in technology,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n
The moment quickly went viral, with critics pointing out that restarting a laptop is hardly a groundbreaking achievement \u2013 especially for someone of college age.<\/p>\n

While many ridiculed the bizarre tech brag, a few were willing to play along with the bit. \u201cBefore you make fun of Barron Trump, try turning a laptop back on that\u2019s been turned off, okay? It\u2019s not so easy,\u201d one person joked.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Trump praised Barron, as he previously credited his son for his supposed impact on the 2024 campaign trail.<\/p>\n
He said he helped him secure younger voters by encouraging appearances on podcasts like those hosted by Joe Rogan and Theo Von.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe knew the youth vote. You know we won the youth vote by 36 points and he was saying \u2018Dad you gotta go out and do this one or that one and we did a lot of them and he respects them all, he understood them very well,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Melania Trump also shared her own praise, highlighting their son\u2019s political instincts: \u201cHe\u2019s a grown young man. I\u2019m very proud of him \u2013 about his knowledge, even about politics, and giving advice to his father. He brought in so many young people.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe knows his generation, because nowadays the young generation, they don\u2019t sit in front of TV anymore. They\u2019re all on the tablets, they\u2019re on the phones, and all of these podcasts and streamers,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n
