White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt ripped a federal district court judge on Wednesday after he ordered flights carrying deported suspected Venezuelan gang members who were in the country illegally returned.<\/p>\n
Leavitt\u2019s remarks came on the heels of President Donald Trump\u2019s criticism of U.S. District Judge James Boasberg as a \u201cradical left lunatic\u201d following a temporary order blocking deportation flights.<\/p>\n
In addition to labeling Boasberg an \u201cactivist\u201d judge, she also took a verbal shot at his wife over her political donations to Democrats.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe judge in this case is essentially trying to say the president doesn\u2019t have the executive authority to deport foreign terrorists from our American soil.<\/p>\n
That is an egregious abuse of the bench,\u201d she told assembled reporters during a press briefing.<\/p>\n
Earlier this month, Trump designated the Venezuelan-based Tren de Aragua gang a terrorist organization. <\/p>\n
