The TV star, well known for playing Georgina Sparks in Gossip Girl and Dawn Summers in Buffy the Vampire Slayer has sadly died aged 39.<\/p>\n
Her passing was announced on 26 February \u2013 shocking her fans who had previously voiced concern over her frail appearance only days before she died.<\/p>\n
Trachtenberg was found at her home in New York on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
It was previously announced that she had undergone surgery recently for a liver transplant. It is believed her body may have rejected the liver, according to sources.<\/p>\n
Her rep, Gary Mantoosh, announced the news. He wrote: \u201cIt is with great sadness to confirm that Michelle Trachtenberg has passed away. The family requests privacy for their loss. There are no further details at this time,\u201d.<\/p>\n
Sadly, during her final night out before her death, she was so frail she could barely walk down the stairs, according to staff at the restaurant she attended.<\/p>\n
The actress went to Sartiano\u2019s restaurant in SoHo, New York on 20th February, less than a week before she passed.<\/p>\n
One employee shared: \u2018She looked really unwell, just like very sickly,\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u2018She was thin, like tiny, she couldn\u2019t walk down the stairs. She was not in a great mood, it wasn\u2019t the best impression.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018It\u2019s spooky because she was in here just last week on Thursday night,\u2019 the worker added.<\/p>\n
\u2018We only just found out about (her death) a few hours ago and it\u2019s really sad. She was just with one other person, a woman who was really nice.\u2019<\/p>\n
Her final post on social media was a throwback shot of herself on the red carpet. She wrote: \u201cI wanted to look like naughty #tinkerbell\ud83d\udc9a #throwback \u26a1\ufe0f.\u201d<\/p>\n
Authorities are not treating her death as suspicious.<\/p>\n
Police had responded to an emergency call out at 8am to One Columbus Place. Upon arrival, they found the actress deceased.<\/p>\n
ABC in America revealed that the star died of \u201cnatural causes\u201d. They wrote: \u201cTrachtenberg is believed to have died of natural causes and no foul play is suspected.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fans had previously shared concern over he appearance on social media to which she responded: \u201cI\u2019ve received several comments recently about my appearance.
