The crash happened around 2 p.m. local time on March 20 at an intersection in Lowndes County, Ga., according to a news release from the Georgia State Patrol obtained by KOLD.<\/p>\n
State troopers said that the school bus was stopped at a stop sign when a Hyundai SUV approached the intersection and that the bus driver allegedly failed to yield while entering the road, resulting in the SUV hitting the driver\u2019s side of the bus.<\/p>\n

\nThe couple, Sierra Johnson and Kasen Millwood of Florida, told KOLD that they were traveling separately that day and were heading to their home in Florida.<\/p>\n
Johnson, who was involved in the crash, was pregnant. She said her \u201cbelly was on fire\u201d immediately following the collision.<\/p>\n
\u201cI felt like I was dying. And I was just lying on the road and asked everybody who was near me to help me. And that I\u2019m pregnant, and, like, please save my baby,\u201d she recalled of the incident.<\/p>\n
Johnson was transported to South Georgia Medical Center, where she received an emergency C-section. She said the baby\u2019s heart rate dropped during the procedure and he did not survive.<\/p>\n
The couple\u2019s son was due on July 12.<\/p>\n
