\nHer back legs wouldn\u2019t move. A damaged spine had taken away her ability to stand or walk. She couldn\u2019t even scoot herself closer to warmth. So she stayed curled up, quiet and still, waiting\u2026 because she had no other choice.
\nThe world must have felt so large and so unbearably cold. No familiar scent. No loving touch. Only silence and the loneliness of being left behind.

\nAs though her entire existence could be reduced to a few careless words.
