After nearly three decades of early mornings, familiar laughs, and countless interviews from the Fox News studio in New York, Steve Doocy is switching things up, but he\u2019s not signing off just yet.<\/p>\n
The beloved Fox & Friends co-host, who\u2019s been on the iconic \u201ccurvy couch\u201d since the show\u2019s launch in 1998, announced on May 1 that he\u2019s stepping back from his full-time hosting duties.<\/p>\n

In an emotional on-air moment, Doocy told viewers he\u2019s trading the pre-dawn grind for a new, more flexible routine. He\u2019ll now co-host three days a week remotely from Florida, allowing him to spend more time with family and report from under-covered corners of America.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a great job, but the hours suck,\u201d he laughed. \u201cNow I\u2019ll be going from the Carolinas to the Keys\u2026 from Middle America to Mar-a-Lago. So call me the coast-to-coast host.\u201d<\/p>\n
Doocy also said he was taking a short break before returning in his new role, joking: \u201cI\u2019ll be back in ten days when it\u2019s time to make the donuts.\u201d<\/p>\n
Retired? Nope. Recharged? Absolutely.<\/p>\n
Despite his absence from the New York studio, Doocy made one thing clear: he\u2019s not retiring.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019ve trusted me for all these years\u2026 and don\u2019t worry, you\u2019ll still hear my voice and my opinions loud and clear.\u201d<\/p>\n
