Former President Joe Biden has another child in a jam with the IRS, according to a bombshell report on Friday.<\/p>\n
Daughter Ashley Biden\u2019s nonprofit organization has been referred to the IRS by a federal watchdog for failing to disclose a $250,000 donation from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, The Daily Mail reportedexclusively.<\/p>\n
Her organization, the Women\u2019s Wellness Spa(ce), received the donation while her dad was still president in 2023.<\/p>\n
The group describes itself as a \u201ctrauma-informed wellness center,\u201d but the National Legal and Policy Center said that her group was in \u201cclear violation\u201d of the reporting rules.<\/p>\n
Ms. Biden failed to report the receipt of a grant of $250,000 made in 2023 by the Archewell Foundation, founded by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. In addition, there are other reporting violations by Ms. Biden, including failing to identify all of the Board of Directors of her nonprofit,\u201d the complaint read.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis large contribution raised eyebrows because of the political implications of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle\u2019s attempt to ingratiate themselves with President Biden and his family.6 But more importantly, the $250,000 cash grant made in 2023 was not reported on Ashley Biden\u2019s group\u2019s 2023 Form 990, which only reported receiving a total of $170,296 that year. A full audit of Ashley Biden\u2019s group is warranted to determine where the $250,000 cash grant was deposited and its disposition,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n
\u201cNLPC notes that Ms. Biden reports that she works 40 hours a week on average for the group but got paid only $11,250 during the reporting period from July 18, 2023, to December 31, 2023, which is 22 weeks. Thus, her compensation was approximately $511 per week. Since she allegedly works 40 hours a week, her gross pay was approximately $12.75 per hour. While Ms. Biden\u2019s pay is low for her educational and work experience in her field, NLPC believes that her reported 40-hour workweek may be exaggerated since during the latter half of 2023, she was engaged in politically related and other activities, including foreign travel with her mother,\u201d the complaint noted further.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe IRS must conduct a full investigation and audit of Women\u2019s Wellness Spa(ce), including deposing Ashley Biden, to find out what happened to the $250,000 given to Ms. Biden\u2019s group from the Archewell Foundation and to assess appropriate civil and criminal penalties because Ms. Biden submitted and signed the Form 990 under penalty of perjury,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n
Ashley Biden has been in the news before within the past couple of years, most notably in regards to a diary that was stolen from her.<\/p>\n
In April 2024, a Florida woman was sentenced to one month in prison for stealing and selling the diary of the president\u2019s daughter to a conservative group.<\/p>\n
As reported by Fox News, Aimee Harris was sentenced in a Manhattan federal courtroom, where the judge also sentenced her to three months of home confinement.<\/p>\n
\u201cI do not believe I am above the law,\u201d Harris told the judge following a prosecutor\u2019s request that she be sentenced to prison time after failing to appear for a number of sentencing dates after claiming she was busy caring for her two kids, ages 8 and 6.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m a survivor of long-term domestic abuse and sexual trauma,\u201d Harris said.<\/p>\n
Harris pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge in August 2022, admitting that she received $20,000 of the $40,000 Project Veritas paid for personal items belonging to the president\u2019s daughter, Ashley Biden.<\/p>\n
Project Veritas is known for conducting secret recordings that have caused embarrassment for news organizations, labor unions, and Democratic politicians.<\/p>\n
During the court proceedings, a tearful Harris expressed remorse and offered an apology for publishing Ashley Biden\u2019s personal writings without her consent. Harris admitted to taking the journal from a home in Delray Beach, Florida, where Biden had temporarily stored her belongings in 2020.<\/p>\n
Along with the diary, Harris took a digital storage card, books, clothing, luggage, and \u201ceverything she could get her hands on,\u201d hoping she \u201ccould make as much money as she could,\u201d Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Sobelman told the court.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe wanted to damage Ms. Biden\u2019s father,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
U.S. District Judge Laura Taylor Swain, a Clinton appointee, scolded Harris, calling her actions \u201cdespicable and serious\u201d and accusing her of exploiting the president\u2019s daughter for profit in a bid to affect the 2020 presidential election.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
