On March 13, 37-year-old Deputy Christina Kohler d**d by s**cide. Just three days later, former Deputy Maria Vasquez, 42, also took her life, according to ABC affiliate KTRK.<\/p>\n

Jose Lopez, president of the Harris County Deputies\u2019 Organization, said the losses \u201ccaught a lot of us by surprise.\u201d He had known two of the fallen officers for more than 20 years, including former deputy Nguyen, whose death on February 6 marked the first in the string of suicides. Nguyen, 58, was confirmed by the medical examiner to have d**d by s**cide.<\/p>\n
