along with seven other band members and her tour manager.<\/p>\n
A private event in San Diego featured a performance by the famous person and her band on March 16, 1991.<\/p>\n
At Brown Field Municipal Airport, two aircraft were prepared to fly the band members to Fort Wayne, Indiana. ,<\/p>\n
for the scheduled performance that follows.<\/p>\n
The band members and tour manager took off, leaving McEntire, her manager Narvel Blackstock at the time, and her stylist Sandi Spika in San Diego for the evening.<\/p>\n
In a depressing 2012 interview with Oprah Winfrey, McEntire recalled what happened next. Only ten miles east of the airport,<\/p>\n
