President Trump raised eyebrows again during a Newsmax interview when he gushed about Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt in a way that many people found awkward. He called her a star and said: \u201cIt\u2019s that face. It\u2019s that brain. It\u2019s those lips, the way they move. They move like she\u2019s a machine gun.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cShe\u2019s a great person, actually. But she\u2019s \u2013 I don\u2019t think anybody has ever had a better press secretary than Karoline. She\u2019s been amazing.\u201d At 27, Leavitt is the fifth press secretary to serve under Trump and the first during his second term.<\/p>\n
Online reactions were quick and divided. Some defended his enthusiasm while others called it \u201ccringe,\u201d \u201ccreepy,\u201d and \u201cdeeply inappropriate.\u201d One person said: \u201cEwwwwwwwwwwww. Why are we speaking about women like this.\u201d Another said: \u201cHe\u2019s a creepy old man. He doesn\u2019t even understand what he just said. Major yikes.\u201d<\/p>\n
Others pushed back and claimed it was taken out of context. One X user said: \u201cHer lips are \u2018like a machine gun\u2019. They obliterate the press.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the same interview, Trump was also asked if he would consider pardoning Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs, who was recently convicted on two federal counts involving prostitution. Trump didn\u2019t rule it out but said: \u201cHe was essentially, I guess, sort of half-innocent.\u201d<\/p>\n
