\nWilliam Garner, a proud Texas A&M University graduate, earned both his Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s degrees in Chemical Engineering. He worked for Union Carbide throughout his career. He and his wife, Pat, shared nearly 60 years together, and he was deeply loved by their daughters\u2014Jennifer, Susannah, and Melissa.<\/p>\n
Heartfelt Farewell
\nIn her tribute, Jennifer wrote, \u201cMy dad died in peace on Saturday afternoon. We were by his side, singing \u2018Amazing Grace\u2019 when he passed.\u201d<\/p>\n
She acknowledged that although his death wasn\u2019t a tragedy\u2014since he lived a full, happy life\u2014the grief of losing him is inevitable. Jennifer expressed gratitude for her father\u2019s \u201ckind nature and quiet strength\u201d and thanked the medical staff at Charleston Area Medical Center and City of Hope for their care.<\/p>\n
