Comedian Paul Rodriguez was then arrested and taken into custody, but claimed the narcotics wasn\u2019t his and accused the officer of acting inappropriately during the search.As of the drugs, he claimed it belonged to his friend, who was driving the car.<\/p>\n
According to TMZ, the 70-year-old comedian was driving in Burbank when he was pulled over for traffic violation that soon turned into an arrest for alleged drug possession after his vehicle was searched.<\/p>\n
Comedian Paul Rodriguez was then arrested and taken into custody, but claimed the narcotics wasn\u2019t his and accused the officer of acting inappropriately during the search.
\nAccording to the Daily Mail, the comedian believed the incident was racially motivated.<\/p>\n
At the time his vehicle was pulled over, Rodriguez was asleep in the passenger\u2019s seat and the officer, whom he described as \u201cCaucasian,\u201d allegedly slapped him in order to wake him up.<\/p>\n
As of the drugs, he claimed it belonged to his friend, who was driving the car.
\nHe was arrested even after his friend admitted the drugs were hers. Rodriguez claimed he was \u201croughed up\u201d and his vehicle was being impounded.<\/p>\n
According to the Daily Mail, officials reported that Rodriguez was cited and released for misdemeanor drug possession and that the case will be further proceeded to the city\u2019s attorney for review. They, however, didn\u2019t comment on his allegations.<\/p>\n

\nRodriguez have gone through some challenging times recently following the passing of his long time friend, Donald Serrato, who died while staying at the comedian\u2019s Los Angeles home. Reports were that he died of natural causes.<\/p>\n
