President Donald Trump just scored another high-profile win against the mainstream media\u2014this time, against CBS News and its flagship program \u201c60 Minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n
In a Truth Social announcement Tuesday, Trump revealed the final settlement terms: a stunning $36 million payout stemming from a lawsuit over what he calls \u201cdeceptively edited\u201d footage of Kamala Harris during the 2024 election.<\/p>\n
The controversy centered on CBS editing two different answers from Harris into one broadcast\u2014an edit the Trump legal team says was meant to deceive voters.<\/p>\n
\u201cParamount\/CBS\/60 Minutes have today paid $16 Million Dollars in settlement,\u201d Trump posted. \u201cAnd we also anticipate receiving $20 Million Dollars more from the new Owners, in Advertising, PSAs, or similar Programming.\u201d<\/p>\n
