On Sunday, June 29, first responders were called to a home on Herold Highway in Woodstock Township, Michigan, after reports that a 1-year-old girl had been struck by a riding lawnmower.<\/p>\n
According to the Lenawee County Sheriff\u2019s Office, the call came in around 4:52 p.m. Deputies arrived to find Aurora Shepard with critical injuries, Detroit News reports.<\/p>\n
Investigators say the child\u2019s 52-year-old grandmother was mowing the lawn on a riding mower when the accident happened. She was unaware the child had joined her outside, authorities said.<\/p>\n
