The broadcast, posted widely on social media and reported by the New York Times, follows a U.S. Air Force strike on Iranian nuclear facilities ordered by President Donald Trump on Saturday. President Trump called it a \u201cvery successful attack\u201d on three nuclear sites, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan, Breitbart News reported.<\/p>\n
The Washington Post reported that, before the attack, Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh warned this month, \u201call U.S. bases are within our reach and we will boldly target them.\u201d These include bases in Egypt, Saudia Arabia, Iraq, United Arib Emerits, Kuwait, Qatar, and Syria.<\/p>\n
There are thousands of U.S. troops assigned to these bases, the Post reported.<\/p>\n
Iran tried to downplay the impact of the strikes by the U.S. on the nuclear sites, the New York Times stated.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe site had been evacuated a long time ago and the damages are not irreversible,\u201d Mohammad Ghalibaf, the speaker of Iran\u2019s Parliament, wrote, \u201cyou cannot bomb knowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Times reports that there are approximately 40,000 U.S. troops in the Middle East.
