We all get old and die eventually.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m not especially scared of dying, I think it\u2019s something beautiful and natural. On the other hand, I\u2019m terrified of getting old and not being able to look after myself.<\/p>\n
To be completely dependent on someone else, not be able to go to the bathroom on your own or remember your childrens\u2019 names. That\u2019s no kind of life.<\/p>\n
Maria was living out her final days in a care facility. And she knew that she didn\u2019t have long left to live.<\/p>\n

\nMaria had been a singing and piano teacher her whole life and missed being surrounded by music.<\/p>\n
But she was in luck, because one of her old students worked at her care home in Austinburg, Ohio.<\/p>\n
Joshua Woodard had been taught by her from when he was 9 years old, so they knew each other well.<\/p>\n
Maria\u2019s greatest wish was to hear the song \u201dHow great thou art\u201d before she died.<\/p>\n
Of course, Joshua was eager to fulfill Maria\u2019s final wish.<\/p>\n
With the song lyrics on his phone, he sang a heartfelt rendition of Maria\u2019s favorite song.<\/p>\n
Even sweeter, it turns out that Joshua had known Mary since he was just 9-years-old.<\/p>\n
