A wealthy elderly man died after falling out of his bedroom window while letting his cat out, his girlfriend revealed Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The 98-year-old 8th Marquess of Ailesbury fell after hitting his head on the concrete patio beneath him.<\/p>\n

Michael Brudenell-Bruce was discovered in a pool of blood by his girlfriend of over 30 years. He was related to Florence Brudenell-Bruce, who previously dated Prince Harry.<\/p>\n

According to 88-year-old author Teresa Marshall de Paoli, he most likely fell while opening the window to liberate Honeybun, the stuck cat.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a freak accident,\u201d she explained. He had blood all over himself. \u201cOh, my dear, what happened?\u201d I asked, but he had already died.<\/p>\n

The marquess, who attended Eton, was pronounced dead by 999 crews who were dispatched to the property in Shepherd\u2019s Bush, West London. The coroner has been informed of his death.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs he fell, he broke the roses on the wall.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was told that the blow to the back of the head on the concrete would have killed him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe might have been there for an hour or an hour and a half.\u201d He was pale and cold.<\/p>\n

\u201cI put a pillow under his head.\u201d I contacted 999 and informed them that my spouse had been in an accident.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ambulance and police arrived within seven minutes. A woman who worked for the police informed me that he had died.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA police officer stated that death occurred right away. The cops saw it as a crime.<\/p>\n

Following the tragedy late Sunday night, she summoned his daughter, Lady Kathryn Brudenell Bruce, who rushed to the site.<\/p>\n

\u201cLady Kathryn and I had to spend the whole night in an armchair in the drawing room.\u201d There was nowhere else to go.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe police were there all night and all day the next day.\u201d<\/p>\n
